Cheese Tortellini:
- 1 package (20 oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini
Sauce:
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cheese Topping:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Garnish:
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the tortellini: Boil the tortellini for 2 minutes less than package directions, then drain.
- Prepare the sauce: Mix marinara sauce, cream, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the drained tortellini in the sauce.
- Assemble and bake: Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, top with cheeses, drizzle with olive oil, cover, and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with basil or parsley before serving.
