Description

These Blackened Salmon Caesar Wraps combine the rich, spicy flavors of blackened salmon with crisp romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla for a quick and satisfying meal perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon and Seasoning

  • 2 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp blackening spice
  • 1 tbsp oil (for searing)

Wrap and Filling

  • 2 large tortillas
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salmon: Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  2. Season the salmon: Evenly rub the blackening spice over both sides of each salmon fillet to cover with a flavorful crust.
  3. Sear the salmon: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add about 1 tablespoon of oil. Once hot, place salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until the exterior is crispy and the fish is cooked through.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Lay out the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Distribute the chopped romaine lettuce evenly in the center of each tortilla, then place a cooked salmon fillet on top.
  5. Add toppings: Drizzle Caesar dressing over the salmon and lettuce, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice from the wedges.
  6. Wrap and serve: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to secure the filling. Slice in half if desired and serve the wraps warm for the best flavor.

Notes

  • Use skinless salmon fillets for easier wrapping and eating.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of blackening spice based on your heat preference.
  • For a lighter version, use a low-fat Caesar dressing or substitute with Greek yogurt-based dressing.
  • Make sure to pat the salmon dry before seasoning to ensure a good crust when searing.
  • These wraps can be eaten cold or reheated gently in a skillet or microwave.
