Scale
Ingredients
- 250 grams (8 oz) pasta
- 200 grams (7 oz) Boursin cheese
- 200 grams (7 oz) broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 50 grams (1/2 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Before draining, reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water for later use.
- Blanch Broccoli: In the same boiling water, blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside along with the pasta.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Combine Pasta and Broccoli: Add the cooked pasta and blanched broccoli to the skillet with the garlic, stirring gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Melt Boursin Cheese: Reduce the heat to low, then add the Boursin cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and evenly coats the pasta and broccoli. Gradually add the reserved pasta water as needed to achieve your desired creamy consistency.
- Serve: Serve the pasta warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Notes
- Reserve some pasta cooking water to adjust the sauce consistency and ensure smooth melting of cheese.
- Blanching the broccoli helps preserve its bright color and crisp texture.
- You can substitute Boursin cheese with any soft herb cheese if unavailable.
- Adjust salt carefully as Boursin and Parmesan cheese are already salty.
