Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots

Cheeseburger Topping:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Cheese Blend:

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Classic Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Tater Tots: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Spread tater tots on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy.
  2. Cook Beef Mixture: Sauté onion and garlic, then add ground beef and seasonings. Cook until browned.
  3. Assemble Totchos: Layer tater tots with cheese and beef mixture. Bake until cheese is melted.
  4. Add Toppings: Top with tomatoes, pickles, green onions, and bacon. Drizzle with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
  • You can also serve these totchos with shredded lettuce on top for a “Big Mac” style flavor.
