- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking dish: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer tater tots and meatballs: Arrange tater tots in a single layer in the bottom of the dish. Evenly place meatballs over the tater tots.
- Prepare cheese sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, ½ cup cheddar cheese, ½ cup mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Assemble casserole: Pour cheese mixture evenly over the meatballs and tater tots. Sprinkle remaining cheddar and mozzarella over the top.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
