Description

These Cheetos Chicken Strips are a crunchy and flavorful twist on traditional chicken tenders. Coated in crushed Cheetos and baked or fried to crispy perfection, these strips are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Strips:

  • 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken tenders

Coating:

  • 4 cups Flamin’ Hot or regular Cheetos, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For Cooking:

  • Cooking spray or oil for baking/frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 400°F or heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F if frying.
  2. Prepare the Coating: Place Cheetos in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Transfer to a shallow bowl. In another bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a third bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  3. Coat the Chicken Strips: Dredge each chicken strip in the seasoned flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the crushed Cheetos.
  4. Baking Method: For baking, place coated strips on a greased baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray, and bake for 18–20 minutes at 400°F, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Frying Method: For frying, cook strips in hot oil for 4–5 minutes per side or until fully cooked and crisp. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use Flamin’ Hot or original Cheetos depending on spice preference.
  • For extra crunch, double-coat the chicken in egg and Cheetos.
  • Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
