These Crab Crunchies are a delightful appetizer perfect for parties or as holiday snacks. Creamy crab filling nestled in crispy phyllo shells or crackers, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
Creamy Crab Filling:
1 cup lump crab meat (drained and picked over), ½ cup cream cheese, softened, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 green onion, finely chopped, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika, salt and black pepper to taste.
Additional:
12 mini phyllo shells or small crackers, 2 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon melted butter, chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Mix Filling: Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gently fold in crab meat.
- Fill Shells: Spoon crab mixture into phyllo shells or crackers on a baking sheet.
- Add Topping: Combine panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over each bite.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with parsley before serving.
