Description

These Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries are a delightful dessert or snack option that’s healthier than traditional fries. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly sweet, they are a fun way to enjoy apples in a new form.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 2 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji, peeled and cut into fry-shaped sticks)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Coat Apple Sticks: Dip each apple stick into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture, pressing gently to help it stick.
  3. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Lightly spray the basket with nonstick spray. Place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed) and lightly spray the tops with cooking spray. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  4. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm!

Notes

Notes:

  • Serve with caramel sauce, whipped cream, or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
