Ingredients
Frozen Cheese Ravioli:
1 (25 oz) bag
Ground Beef or Italian Sausage:
1 pound
Marinara or Pasta Sauce:
1 (24 oz) jar
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese:
2 cups
Grated Parmesan Cheese:
1/2 cup
Italian Seasoning:
1 teaspoon
Garlic Powder:
1/2 teaspoon
Salt and Pepper:
to taste
Fresh Basil or Parsley:
for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer in the Crockpot: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 6-quart crockpot. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce. Top with half of the cooked meat, then spoon over more sauce and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan.
- Repeat Layers: Continue layering: ravioli, meat, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Rest and Serve: Turn off the heat and let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can swap cheese ravioli with beef or spinach ravioli for variety.
- For a vegetarian version, skip the meat and add sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
