  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce:

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Serving:

  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil.
  2. Cook turkey mixture: Add ground turkey, onion, and bell pepper. Cook until turkey is browned and vegetables are softened, about 6–8 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Make sauce: Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Serve: Spoon turkey mixture onto toasted burger buns and serve.
