Description

This Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Cheesy Alfredo recipe combines tender, juicy steak bites with a rich and creamy homemade Alfredo sauce enveloping perfectly cooked pasta. Ready in just 25 minutes, it’s a comforting and satisfying meal for four, featuring a delightful blend of garlic butter steak and cheesy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Pasta & Sauce

  • 12 oz pasta twists (rotini or cavatappi)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta thoroughly and set aside to keep warm.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with salt and black pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and continue stirring until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and slightly thickened.
  4. Combine Pasta and Steak: Return the cooked pasta and steak bites to the skillet. Toss everything together thoroughly, ensuring the pasta and steak are well coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the top of the pasta and steak mixture. Allow the cheese to melt slightly by covering the skillet or reducing heat to low for a minute or two before serving.

Notes

  • Use a high-quality steak for best flavor; ribeye or sirloin work great.
  • To keep steak tender, avoid overcrowding the skillet when cooking; cook in batches if necessary.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce but it may be less creamy.
  • Feel free to add fresh parsley or basil as a garnish for added color and taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
