Description

This hearty dish combines tender garlic parmesan chicken and steak strips baked with a cheesy topping, served alongside creamy loaded mashed potatoes. A comforting and satisfying meal perfect for a family dinner or special occasion.

For the chicken & steak:

  • 1/2 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1/2 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

For the mashed potatoes:

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare meat: Toss chicken and steak strips with olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Arrange in a baking dish.
  3. Add cheese: Sprinkle Parmesan over the meat, then top with mozzarella. Bake until cooked through.
  4. Make mashed potatoes: Boil potatoes, then mash with sour cream, milk, butter, cheddar, bacon, and onions. Season.
  5. Serve: Serve the loaded mashed potatoes with the garlic parmesan chicken and steak. Garnish as desired.
