It requires minimal prep and chills to set, making it an ideal party dessert everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 24 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (Crushed into fine crumbs)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (Melted)

Gelatin Layer

  • 1 box Orange Gelatin (Dissolved in boiling water)

Pudding Mixture

  • 1 box Vanilla Instant Pudding (Can be swapped for another flavor)
  • 2 cups Cold Milk (Skim, whole, or any milk alternative)

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar (Adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup Whipped Topping (Or homemade whipped cream)
  • 2 drops Purple Food Coloring (Adjust to desired vibrancy)

Top Layer

  • 1/2 cup Whipped Topping (Or homemade whipped cream)
  • 2 drops Green Food Coloring (Adjust to desired vibrancy)
  • 1 cup Halloween Sprinkles (For decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs then mix them thoroughly with the melted butter. Press this mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  2. Make the Gelatin Layer: Dissolve the orange gelatin powder in boiling water according to package instructions. Set aside to cool until slightly thickened but not fully set.
  3. Prepare Pudding Mixture: In a bowl, whisk the vanilla instant pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens. Gently fold the cooled orange gelatin into the pudding mixture to combine the two layers.
  4. Create Cream Cheese Layer: Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Stir in half of the whipped topping along with the purple food coloring until evenly tinted and combined.
  5. Layer the Dessert: Spread the purple cream cheese mixture evenly over the prepared cookie crust. Then carefully pour and spread the orange gelatin-pudding mixture on top of the cream cheese layer.
  6. Finish with Whipped Topping: Mix the remaining whipped topping with green food coloring until vibrant and smooth. Spread this green whipped topping evenly over the gelatin layer. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles for decoration.
  7. Chill: Cover the assembled dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, allowing all layers to set completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps in the cream cheese layer.
  • You can substitute pudding flavor to customize taste.
  • Adjust food coloring amounts to reach your preferred color brightness.
  • For best results, chill the dessert overnight.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Use homemade whipped cream as a fresh alternative to store-bought whipped topping.
  • Press crust firmly to avoid it crumbling when serving.
