Description

A simple and healthy recipe for crispy air fryer sliced potatoes coated with olive oil and flavorful spices, perfect as a delicious vegan and gluten-free side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Potatoes

  • 3 medium Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, thinly sliced

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish (Optional)

  • Chopped parsley or grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to heat up while you prepare the potatoes.
  2. Slice and Soak Potatoes: Wash and thinly slice the potatoes evenly using a sharp knife or mandoline. Place the slices in a bowl of cold water and soak for 10–15 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps achieve crispiness.
  3. Drain and Dry: Drain the potato slices thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels to remove all moisture.
  4. Toss with Seasonings: In a large bowl, combine the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until all slices are evenly coated.
  5. Arrange and Air Fry: Place the seasoned potato slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  6. Serve: Once golden brown and crispy, transfer the potatoes to a plate. Sprinkle with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan if desired, and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to allow hot air circulation.
  • Sweet potatoes can be used instead for a naturally sweet variation.
