Description

Enjoy a refreshing and creamy Asian dessert with this Honeydew Sago recipe. This chilled sago pudding combines the subtle sweetness of honeydew melon with the richness of coconut milk for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Sago:

  • 1 cup small pearl sago
  • 5 cups water

Base Mixture:

  • 3 cups honeydew melon, diced
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Serving:

  • Ice cubes or crushed ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook Sago: Bring 5 cups of water to a boil. Add sago pearls, cook for 10-12 minutes until translucent. Drain, rinse, and set aside.
  2. Prepare Base: Blend half of the honeydew with coconut milk, condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine: Mix base with diced honeydew and sago. Chill for 1 hour.
  4. Serve: Enjoy cold with ice.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use evaporated milk and reduce sugar. Mango or cantaloupe can be substituted for honeydew.
