These loaded cheesy tacos are a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love. Packed with seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and all your favorite toppings, these tacos are perfect for a quick and easy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef

Taco Seasoning Mix:

  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix

Water:

  • 1/2 cup water

Taco Shells or Tortillas:

  • 8 small taco shells or tortillas

Cheddar Cheese:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Lettuce:

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Tomato:

  • 1 medium tomato diced

Black Olives:

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

Sour Cream:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Green Onions:

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Cilantro:

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped

Salsa:

  • Salsa for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Season the Beef: Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water, and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. Prepare Tacos: Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions. Divide the seasoned beef evenly among the shells. Top each taco with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, black olives, green onions, and cilantro.
  4. Serve: Add a dollop of sour cream on top. Serve with salsa if desired.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef for a leaner option.
  • Use shredded Mexican cheese blend for a different flavor.
