Maple Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar. Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: Stir in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until just mixed. Fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Bake: Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 28–32 minutes until golden.
  5. Make glaze: Whisk together maple syrup, powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
