For the Peach Syrup:
- 6 black tea bags
- 5 cups water, divided
- 3 large ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
For Serving:
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Peach Syrup: In a saucepan, combine 3 cups of water and sliced peaches. Boil, then simmer for 10–12 minutes until soft. Strain liquid through a sieve, pressing peaches to extract juice. Discard solids.
- Steep Tea: Boil remaining 2 cups of water. Steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes, then remove bags.
- Combine Ingredients: In a pitcher, mix warm tea, peach syrup, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until sugar dissolves. Chill before serving.
- Serve: Pour over ice, add peach slices and mint if desired.
Notes
- For stronger peach flavor, add peach nectar.
- Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
