Strawberry Topping:
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Egg Wash:
- 1 large egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
Glaze:
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 teaspoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Prepare Pastry: Unfold puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, cut into 4 squares, and place on the baking sheet.
- Assemble Danishes: Spread cream cheese mixture, strawberry jam, and fresh strawberries on each square. Fold corners towards the center, brush with egg wash, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Make Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze. Drizzle over cooled danishes.
